My People

"Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher."

The Fiance'
"It's a curious thought, but it is when you see people looking ridiculous that you realize just how much you love them"
Nearly 7 years ago I met this Dallas Cowboy lovin', Aggie obsessed, Arlington native at a "Pimps and Hoes" Party (don't judge) when I was a freshman at Texas A&M. Little did I know in that moment surrounded by an array of skanky costumes and pimp canes my life would never be the same. I fell in love and am currently still falling. He is my best friend, the love of my life, the reason I laugh every single day, and to this day I still get butterflies before I see him. On May 2, 2013, he got down on one knee and proposed. We will be getting married on February 15th, 2014. CANNOT WAIT!
The Daughter and The Shep-Monster
"Every day I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am"-Martina McBride
Meet Chanel. This very rare black and white fox dog stole my heart the moment I met her. If you know me you know I don't particulary like children. She is my child and if you don't like her, I don't like you. She is extrememly smart and has us trained more than we have her trained.  She makes noises that have never came out of a dog and I truly believe she is trying to talk. She is the best spooner and impossible to be mad at.

Also say hello to Mr. Shep. This little guy came into our lives by complete accident. After hearing about him running from flood waters and hiding under cars, Trevor and I rescued him and planned to bring him to shelter since we both lived in apartments at the time and didn't think it was a good idea to have another dog. However, as God would have it, the shelter was completely full and asked us to be foster parents for a while until they found him and home. You see how well that worked out. He's is so calm and after some TLC he has just developed the sweetest and most playful personality.

The "Housewife"
“Friendship isn’t about who came first or who you’ve known for the longest, it’s about who came and never left."
Lauryn and I met in college because her (at the time) boyfriend was rooming with Trevor. It was comical because we actually grew up right down the road from each other but didn’t meet until we were both attending Texas A&M (whoop!) This girl is my soul sister. I talk to her more than I talk to the fiance' somedays. She knows everything about me and still loves me. She is always there for me and has shared my excitement in every big moment in my life for the past 5 years which is why she is also serving a co-maid of honor on my big day.

  The Lappy
"Cousins by blood, best friends since birth."
Once upon a time there were two little girls sitting inside a house while their parents were drinking beer BBQing outside. One girl had an obsessed weirdo boy who kept calling the house over and over again. The girls came up with the evil brilliant idea to gather up pots and pans and BANG them together directly in front of the phone. This lead to many tears being shed because the two little girls were laughing so hard. The end. :)

So yes the story above is indeed about me and my sister cousin Ashley, also known and Lapey because of her ridiculous lengthy last name of "Lapeyrolerie". She is my lifetime best friend/sister who I know will always be there for me.

The "Family"
"Friends are the family we choose for ourselves"
So the people pictured above over the past 5 years have become the responsible crazy brothers and sisters I never had. I met most of them my freshman year at A&M  through my former BFF (Thanks buddy, if you ever happen to read this-sarcasm intended) and made many memories countless nights in College Station. The greatest part is after I graduated from A&M I moved to Houston and got the privilege of living in the same town with all of them again. WOO! We share a love for all that is Maroon and White, Puppy Dogs, and Tailgating. There is never a dull moment with this group and I couldn't ask for a better "Family".  The two girls in the top picture, Jessica and Marina and like my sisters. I just adore them. They have always been there for me and I'm so glad that we will be in each other's lives forever.

The Rest of the Girls (and one guy)
Heather is the most loyal friend I am sure I will ever have. I know she will always have my back, so my recommendation don't mess with me, she's feisty. We met in a whirlwind of drama spring break in Panama City in 2009. Needless to say you build friendships up when you go through things with each other, and BOY have we been through stuff with each other. Good times... On October 13, 2012 I had the privilege of standing next to her on the biggest day of her life thus far when she married her country man. They are now expecting a baby and I can't wait to love on sweet little Coraline.

Abby. Where to begin...we HATED each other when we first met. And for quite some time after that. But, as fate would have it, she is now one of my dearest friends and I absolutely adore her. Even though I have had more fights with her than anyone else I have ever been friends with, that's part of the reason I feel we are so close. We always managed to find our way back to each other ready to "try again". We have been living in "friendship" bliss for some time now and we both intend to keep it that way. She can make me laugh on command and she loves with all her heart.

Emily is my lovely poised ghetto booty dancing white girl. She's got the biggest heart and it a gem of a friend. Through Lauryn, we have gotten to be great friends and I love her dearly. You will never meet someone who is more genuine and kind, as this girl. And for that I love her dearly.

Ashley has quickly became one of my dearest friends and fellow wino. We had both recently moved to Houston and decided to randomly go have wine together one night. The night went surprisingly well and we have gotten very close over the past year. We can seriously talk for hours. Honesty is this girls thing, she will always shoot straight with you.

Oh this guy. This is my wild, crazy, yet very responsible best guy friend. (He wishes to remain anonymous) Over the past 6 years he has become one of my closest friends who makes me laugh uncontrollably and often. He is a constant inspiration to live life the fullest and one day he will be in my wedding.

Goodness where do I even start. Miss Ashley B. and I have been through some really tough times together. I know that I couldn't have made it out of mine without her. She is an extremley smart and loyal friend who I know will always be one of my best friends. She is beautiful inside and out and she is going to be a kick-ass lawyer one day. :)
