A Wedding, #DietCokeproblems, and Workout Class Adventures

Happy almost Friday dolls!
I hope that everyone has had a great week this week! And if not, well folks it's nearly Friday so the weekend is in very clear sight.
Two weekends back (I know I have been slacking on my blogging) was the big wedding of the Coco's. Yes that really is their last name, their favors were actually hot coco; Cute right? Anyways, the weekend went very well. The bride looked beautiful (nearly flawless actually). At every wedding that I have been a part of, the bride has always looked the most beautiful I have ever seen her, always. It's was the same situation for Amy, Marina, Ashley, and now Heather, there is just this glow of that day. The glow, paired with the perfect dress, make-up and hair topped off with the pure joy that you are about to marry the one the completes your soul equals a stunning bride. I wish the Coco's a lifetime of happiness and love.

The dress fit her like a glove.
 First Dance-Keeper of the Stars
 Beautiful centerpieces
 My hott date. ;)
Love a man in a tux.
This group knows how to party!
 Bride and Groom Table
I was so ready to catch that bouquet! (Sadly, I did not)
BUUUTTT The bride to give me her original bouquet. At the very end of the reception she found me and said some very kind and special things to me and gave me the bouquet. I'm not going to divulge the story because I feel like things like that are meant to be kept private but thank you H, for all that you said.
I've started this new water accountability thing with a co-worker of mine. Basically I have an addiction to Diet Coke. And no I am not over exaggerating. I LOVE diet coke, but I drink way too much of it. Why don't I just drink more water instead? Well, because I hate water. I hate drinking it unless I am at the gym, and even then I don't drink much of it. So my new thing is I now am allowed my morning Diet Coke (since I do not drink coffee) and then after that, I have to drink four 16 ounce glasses before I can have another one, and so on. It's going to be tough but I am really trying to drink more water. I'll keep you posted...
Along with drinking more water I have decided to take advantage of my gym's workout classes they offer. So far I have indulged in Bollywood Shake, Taserobics, Strictly Core and Stepping. Bollywood Shake has been my favorite so far, it's a combination of tradition Indian moves, belly dancing, Latin dance, and a little bit of hip hop. They turn out the lights and turn on the disco ball and it feels like a party. Taserobics was fun but tough, and I am still sore from it. Taserobics is a traditional high-low impact Aerobics class combined with strength movements that is designed to reshape and tone your gluts, abs, and legs. The strictly CORE class is exactly what it sounds like, all abs. It hurts to sit up...GREAT SUCESS! Stepping was by FAR the most challenging to me. You all have heard of steppin class I am sure. The step bench raised less than a foot off the ground, you step up...you step down, easy enough right? WRONG! I'd like to think I have rhythm but clearly after taking this class, I suck at following directions. I was stepping in all the wrong places for the first 30 minutes but you bet you’re a$$ I was sweating like I was sunbathing in Arizona (drenched I tell you).  I bet I would have been entertaining to watch. Overall though I would recommend any of the classes above, they were all really great workouts they targeted different things. Plus the classes make an hour long workout go by so much faster than lifting/traditional cardio. Tonight is Bollywood Shake again and I'm kind of excited. :)
Last, but certainly not least, my Cajun blood has be craving crawfish almost as bad as I crave diet coke. (I'm looking at you Trevor Davis)
Happy Thursday Dolls!

New Job, Mardi Gras, and a Wedding

HELLO Blogging loves! Sorry for the long absence but things have been C-R-A-Z-Y!!! The good thing happening that I spoke about on previous blogs happened! I am finishing up my first week at my new job this week. I left my old job last Thursday and had a near perfect exit. (There is always one that messes up the perfect record). I learned a lot at the old place and will miss working for my boss big time but I think the new place is going to bring great things for me. The new place has more room for growth in marketing (which I love), is 5 miles from my house versus 26 miles, and offers me a  MUCH bigger salary, how could I have said no.
This week has been a good one with some mole hills that I had to get over. (Which I have learned is typcial with new jobs) Tuesday after work though, I definitely cried on the way home. (blogging honestly) It was an overwhelming day and a situation that normally doesn't occur just happened to happen on my second day of work. Long story short, a gentleman I work with likes to wait until the last minutes to get together his proposals...and he was thinking that myself (and the girl who I am replacing who was here training me) were going to stay until ...6, 7, or maybe even 8 until the proposals were all put together...Does anyone happen to remember what Tuesday was... OH yeah! It was Valentine's day! A day and holiday that I actually enjoy. (Unlike all the facebook cynics) Luckily my other co-worker, who just happens to be an Aggie, told me that I needed to get the hell outta dodge, and that it was his own fault that this was happening. But then you don't want to be the new girl who isn't a team player but after talking to many people (including my own boss) I realized that I had every right to leave. Undoubtedly this rarely happens...I guess I just have really awesome luck. Poor Trevor, he walked in the door with roses and a V-day present and I was in tears. But, of course, he turned the whole day around and made me feel 1,000 times better. That is why he is my Valentine (5 years running). Since Tuesday things have continuted to get better and I am positive I made the right choice accpeting this position.
This past weekend we went to Galveston Mardi Gras. Overall,  it was an awesome trip, MINUS the below 40 degree temperatures. Seriously, it was "bleeping" cold. So we spent most of the night hopping into the little bars on the strand which was a lot of fun, it just didn't feel like Mardi Gras as much as normal since we weren't watching parades and catching beads in the street. Heather, Henry, Cody, Trevor....all I have to say is "TA DA!" ;-)
Trevor and I celebrating Mardi Gras 2012! I'm so glad I exposed him to this wonderful Holiday. :)
Our whole group! Cody, Trevor, myself, Heather, Henry, Brittany, and Patrick
Cody and me! :)
Heather, Myself, and Brittany...Notice the wand (If you want to hear a funny story about that ask)
Okay now this is just funny, the picture was actually taken before the first group shot but this very rude, and terrible haired girl decided to walk right in front of us. I think Cody's face says it all.

Today starts all the festivies of Heather and Coco's (Michael) wedding! Rehearsal begins at 5:15 and with a small miracle, I should be their on time. Please send your prayers my way that I don't completely screw up my MOH speech. Thanks and Gig'em. :)

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Friday! And for those of you in H-town, have your row boat ready, flood watch is in effect.

Happy Friday Dolls. :)

Confession time...

Okay so I have a slight obsession with weddings. Luckily not only do I get to attend four weddings between now and next November I get the wonderful privilege to be in two of them. My friend Heather L is marrying her long time sweetie of seven years ,Michael, in February of 2012, and I will be playing MOH. (Maid on Honor). Also in November of 2012, another Heather, Heather C. is marrying her college bf and I am a bridesmaid. My long time friend all the way back to elementary, Shannon, is getting married on the 23 of this month. And last but certainly not least Trevor and I's friend Briana will marry her long time BF in February of 2012. They are all very beautiful girls and I am sure all of their weddings will be wonderful and unique, each customized to their own personalities.

With all that being said, looking at wedding stuff is perfectly appropriate because I am playing crucial rolls in two of these in the next year and a half. I take my job in weddings very seriously. See picture below...

Marina and J.C.'s wedding-March 2010.
Seriously, don't mess with me and weddings.

So from time to time I will share photos and ideas on here. I hope you  tolerate enjoy my little wedding addiction. Maybe I can help inspire you, or just give you some pretty pictures to look at. Whatever works.
