Mr. Tubby Tubs and the Green Tin-Can on Wheels

Once upon a time...Life got extremely busy for me!  I apologize for the lack of blogging the past month and a half, but I will be making a conscious effort to blog lots and lots this December.
My job has really become time consuming lately. We had a woman in our department leave very suddenly for a new opportunity and in turn, it has made those of us left to become very thinly stretched. BUT HEY! Lots of people don’t even have good jobs, so I am thankful for even the busiest of days (and the paycheck that follows).
Speaking of being thankful, I have a very serious question for you all. Is it even possible for you to be angry before 6:30 AM? Now of course, there are those extreme cases where, for example, your car got broken into, or something similar, where anyone would be angry. But I am talking about just waking up on your daily routine and being pissed off! Me personally, not possible, I’m hardly awake at that hour, much less able to conjure up any sort of real emotion. This morning, however, that was not the case for the gentleman behind me on my morning drive.
I pulled out of my neighborhood to, what is a very busy street in the mornings ready for the day. Actually, more than ready because for a Monday, I knew this one would be great. (More on that later) As I head towards to toll-way that I take every morning, I noticed that the driver behind me driving a hunter green (ew) Pontiac Grand-AM was awfully close to my bumper.

Now, mind you, the road I am traveling on is very busy on weekday mornings and cars usually don’t go past 45 MPH and the road also lots of lights.  The truck I was traveling behind was a little bit slower driver than normal but again, who gets angry before 6:30 AM? I didn’t care if he was following the car in front of him a little bit more back that I normally would. His chosen driving speed wasn’t going to make me get to my destination any slower because of the lights we have to stop at every few miles anyways.  Clearly though, the grand-am gentleman thought that I was driving way to slow and that following right behind me would be a really good idea. I tapped my breaks a few times to kindly suggest for him to back off my bumper. He did not get the message I guess because he only continued to follow closer and then he decides that he is going to turn his brights on at me! At this point, I’m getting a little irritated because I truly have no idea why this guy is so angry at me! Lucky for me, his piece of crap car didn’t have very bright brights and I also drive and SUV and he was so close I couldn’t see his headlights anyways…idiot. I manage to finally switch into the left lane to get away from him and when he passes me he flicks me off with his fat finger! (Just for visualization purposes he looked like weight about 300 pounds)  Color me shocked. I was truly flabbergasted with his behavior. As he passed me and got behind the slower moving truck, and I moved onward to the freeway, I giggled. His impatience and rudeness was getting him nowhere, and I hope he realized that. Now I don’t know if he was just late and frustrated and decided I was the traffic angel screwing him over, or if he was a bitter longhorn fan that didn’t like my Texas A&M Century Club Member/blinged out aTm, but he seriously needs some Jesus in his life. I will never understand why some people lose their minds when they get behind the wheel. Moral of the story, don’t be that guy on your drive home today.
As for me and the rest of my morning, Mr. Tubby Tubs in the green tin can on wheels did not ruin it for me. Oh no! Tonight some of my wonderful girlfriends and I are having a Girl’s Christmas Movie night and I am hosting it at my home. Every girl is bringing some sort of treat in the form of dessert or wine, and we are going to watch the holiday classic, “The Holiday”. (Which just happens to be my favorite movie of all time) This week is definitely starting off right; Christmas movie, pizza,  girl talk, wine, and sugar. J I hope that everyone is having a better morning that Mr. Tubby Tubs and remember to drive like a sane person today.
Happy Monday Dolls!

Catch Up Time & Friday Favorites

Hello!

Wow, it's been a good minute since I last blogged. I feel like everything has been moving so fast that I have barely had time to breathe!

I noted in a blog back in September that I would be going on an 8 week stint with every weekend having something to do, and I am excited to say that, ALAS, this is the last weekend in the marathon. After this weekend, we have three weeks of NOTHING! I feel super old saying that but after traveling out of town for the past 6/7 weeks, I will be delighted to spend a weekend in Houston. Heck, this weekend will be the first time I've slept in my own bed (Friday-Sunday) for the past two weeks.

So what's been going, you ask? Well a little bit of Birthday celebrating, Aggie football, Labor Day lake trips, more Aggie football, and lots of wedding festivities.

It feels like million moons ago, but at the tail end of August I celebrated my birthday! It was an awesome, perfect night with the best friends a girl could ask for. I have pretty good luck with my birthdays getting better each year and this one continued on that trend.

The whole group at Rebel's in Houston. Seriously love all of these guys.
Trevor did such an awesome job bringing everything together on my birthday. I am very thankful I have celebrated the past 5 birthdays with him by my side.
These girls...I love them. They are all such great friends. Hell 4 of them will most likely be bridesmaids in my wedding (if I ever get married<insert crying emoticon here>).

In other news, my friend Heather FINALLY got married. I say finally because they were engaged for a good 2 and 1/2 years before they  had the wedding. (They were saving for their elaborate 3-week honeymoon in Europe.) The weekend before last we had the bachelorette party in Austin and last weekend was the big day. Everything turned out really great and I think all the waiting was worth the wait.

The group of girls at the bachelorette party.
The Bride and her dedicated team of bridesmaids. This was at the reception and it was time for us to let loose.
All the bridesmaids. I really enjoyed getting to know all of these wonderful women.
SO it rained...but it actually held off for the ceremony. This was myself, HW, and two other bridesmaids attempting to stay dry while the formal pictures.
My hott date...go figure I've had the same one for all four weddings that I have been in. I'm a lucky lady.

As previously stated, taking up a lot of our time... FIGHTIN' TEXAS AGGIE FOOTBALL! Or shall I say, Johny Football. What a season it has been so far. After our first loss to Florida, we have gone on to win every game. However, this weekend we play LSU and I am not naive. I know that LSU has linemen the size of NFL players and that they are a damn good team. But I am not counting us out with our super star Johny leading our team, and the momentum the Ags have coming off of two road game victories. This is going to be a hard fought game by both teams and it really could go either way. Since the game starts at 11 AM (WTF ESPN?!?) Trevor and I will be leaving Houston at 7 AM (the things we do for Aggie Football) so we can make sure we are there with plenty of time for tailgating, especially since our tailgate is sponsored by St. Arnold's Brewery. Yeah, DAT CREW Tailgating is some serious business.
Dat Crew Tailgating at the Arkansas game. Come rain or shine, we'll be there!

Alright guys, I have to get back to work, but hope you enjoyed the catch up post and I promise to post again before Christmas.

Have a great weekend dolls and GIG'EM AGGIES!

It's Okay...

I've been completely MIA from my blog the past few weeks. I am sorry. :( I have been so busy with work and social things that I feel like I have barely had time to breathe. So with that being said, I decided to dip my toes back into the blogging waters with an "It's Okay" Thursday link up. :)

It's Okay...

To worry about your grandfather even though the Doctors are saying it's going to be fine.

To have drank two Diet Cokes and a jave chip frap light today after this very long and stressful week.

To take a muscle relaxer (of your own) when you screw up your shoulder muscle working out...even if it makes you sleepy all the next day.

To be excited that everyone in your department is off tomorrow. No one around = an easy Friday.

To be so excited about Grey's Anatomy that you plan on blocking out the world when it comes on tonight. (Unless it's the G-pa)

To miss you BF when she lives in another city.

That all I want to do when I get home is sleep until Grey's comes on, then drink a LARGE glass of wine.

To be mad at the NCAA or whoever's fault it is for scheduling the Aggie game for 11 AM on Saturday. I love going to Aggieland but am not looking forward waking up at 8 to be at the game on time. >:(

and lastly....EVERYTHING is okay

BECAUSE MY GRANDFATHER IS GOING TO BE FINE!!! All the Glory to God!

What's okay with you???

A shout out to Taylor @ Goings on in Texas for posting her link up of "it's okay" and giving me the motivation to get back into things.

Have a wonderful Thursday!

"There's a spirit can ne'er be told..."

Howdy All!

As I sit here and type up this quick blog, I am giddy with excitement. Now far warning, if you are neither an Aggie nor an Aggie Fan you most likely will not understand this post one bit. You may even find it comical, but I can promise you I am completely serious. J

As most of you know, I graduated from Texas A&M in 2010. To say I am an Aggie “fan” is the understatement of the year. Hell, I even have an A&M tattoo..., yes, you read that correctly. :) Spending 4 years in Aggieland changed me as a person and A&M became deeply rooted into my soul. I became a part of something much bigger than myself, The 12th man. A quote about A&M that is widely popular is "From the outside looking in, you can't understand it. And from the inside looking out, you can't explain it." I find this so incredibly true. People make jokes all the time about A&M being a cult and that fish camp is just a means to brainwash the incoming freshman class, but Texas A&M University is so much more than that. Besides their stellar academics and extremely high rankings among public universities, the comradery among the students is unlike anything is this world.

Tomorrow is A&M's first football game of the season and also our first game in the SEC. Trev and I are season ticket holders, along with a large group of our friends. Being in Aggieland on Game day is almost unexplainable. You can feel the excitement in the air. Walking up Kyle Field and hearing the crowd steadily increase in volume with the rising numbers of Aggies finding their seats is sweet music to my ears. To see a stadium of 86,000 plus completely sold out, covered in maroon, yelling in unison is a sight you will never forget as long as you live. It is pure sensory overload for any true Aggie; The flyover, the war hymn, the football players running out, the fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, the yells, I could go on and on….Bottom line, if you haven’t ever experienced Aggieland on Game Day Saturday, you are truly missing out.

Being at A&M for 4 years was by far some of the best days of my life. The experiences I had and the people I met there would change me and mold me into the person I am today. Although some of those people aren’t in my life anymore, I will always hold on to the fond and irreplaceable memories until the day that I leave this earth. As for those that still are, well, they are family, one is even the love of my life. J Gratitude is what I feel towards Aggieland and Texas A&M, complete gratefulness for my education that supports the life I want to live, for the people who make life living for, and for allowing me to be a part of something much bigger than myself.

Have a great weekend dolls and CHEERS to the Aggies BTHO florida! J

Thanks and Gig’Em!

I have no problem admitting this video brings tears to my eyes.

8/25/07

“The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a growing depth, beauty, and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of divine accident, and the most wonderful of all things in life.” -Hugh Walpole, Sr.
8/25/07.....
Saturday, August 25, will mark Trevor and I’s 5 year anniversary; Five amazing, exciting, wonderful years that I have spent with an incredible man. Trevor is not just my boyfriend, but my best friend. He knows everything about me and continues to love me. (Even when I am cranky and won’t pick out a place to eat, hehe) Trevor, in my humble opinion, is a jack of all trades. He has so much patience (something I completely lack), everyone who meets him likes him, he makes me laugh every single day, he is extremely intelligent and when he sets his mind to accomplish something, he never fails.
I believe all relationships take love, hard work, and understanding to be successful. Trevor and I work hard to be happy and also to be happy with each other. I am extraordinarily proud to say that we rarely have big arguments at this point in our relationship. Sure we have our disagreements, but I guess after 5 years we know what each other’s buttons are and do are absolute best to stay far far away from them. Our happy place is with each other, but we also love being with our loved ones (family and friends). We both have a passion for living life and having as much fun as possible which makes for some wonderful memories over the past five years.
So today, (yes, a little early, but we are doing a birthday party on Saturday and have friends coming in tomorrow) I thank GOD for that moment 5 years ago, on my 19th birthday, when Trevor asked me very politely to be “his girl”. I am so blessed to have found the one that makes me heart whole, the one that I have prayed for since I was a little girl, the man that makes me laugh every day, the man that loves my family as much as they love him, and the man that makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world, Trevor. I love you with all my heart and all my soul and cannot wait to see what adventures and memories the next year brings for us.

Trevor and I don't have one particular song (but many) and today this is the one that keeps playing in my head when I think of how lucky I am. Plus the video is adorable and cute and I am in that kind of mood today.

Well guys, I am off to finish this Thursday, (which just happens to be my Friday). Have an AMAZING weekend dolls! I know I will.

Trip Around the Sun-Chapter 23

Hello Dolls!
I hope that you are all having a wonderful week thus far. For me, it’s pretty much impossible to catch me without a smile. Not only is this a 4 day week for me, it’s also Trevor and I’s 5 year anniversary and my birthday party weekend. (Actually birthday next Tuesday).
I will say though...I am having the absolute hardest time finding a new dress for this weekend and I live in the 4th largest city in America...WTH is wrong with me? If you have any suggestions on where to look, excluding the Galleria, and Memorial City mall, I am all ears.
Last year I wrote a blog about the past year and with my actual birthday exactly a week away, I found it fitting to do the same again. You can see last year’s blog here. I found it extremely interesting and entertaining to reflect back on the previous year. Some things have changed, and others, not one bit. One thing that did change is my job. I left the the job that I started my post grad career in for something more fitting for me. So far it’s been great, and definitely a learning experience. I hope that I continue to advance here and gain valuable experience that I will use in my career.
I moved out of the tiny 1 bedroom, 1 study, 1 bathroom (it shouldn’t have counted at a 2/3 bathroom for how small it was) apartment and moved into a house! A house with a yard, garage, guest bedroom and all that jazz! I wouldn’t take back the time I spent in my first place I paid for all on my own but I would NEVER go back. J
Made new friends and also decided I didn’t need some old friends in my life anymore. You only live once and life is too short to have people around who aren’t honest with you or spend their time talking behind your back. I left high school 6 years ago anyways. More importantly though, is that my real friends haven't changed a bit and no matter how far apart we are/how often we actually get to see each other, nothing changes. :) I love all you girls like sisters (You know who you are).
With that little recap of my past year, here are some photos of some of my favorite moments. I do want to thank you all for taking time out of your day to read my blog. Whether it’s your first time or your 30th time, I appreciate it so much.
August 2011-This was Trevor and I celebrating our anniversary last year at Vic and Anthony's Steakhouse. A year later we are getting ready to do it all over again. :)

July 2012-3rd Annual River Trip! 3 days worth of sun, fun, lots of a few drinks, and some of the best friends a girl could ever find.

October 2011- Superman and Superwoman. :) We had an awesome time celebrating with some great friends. Even if I did get attacked my Snow White...

November 2011- As sad, upset, and angry as I was that we lost this game, the t.u. vs Aggie game this year was some of the best tailgating of the year. I am very excited for the upcoming season!

February 2012- LESSE BON TEMP ROULER! Mardi Gras Galveston was once again an absolute blast! Even with the 30 degree weather and biting wind, we still had an incredible night out.

March 2012- This little guy was running from rising water in SETX, had no home, and no one wanted him. We couldn't bare the thought of him getting put down so Trevor and I met my Mom halfway between Houston and Bridge City to bring him to a shelter in Houston. Yeahhhhh, about that...5 months later he is now part of our family. He has grown from a scared, tired, sad looking stray to a loving, playful, calm puppy that everyone wants to take home with them.
(Picture on top is the day he was found, the picture on the bottom is present day.)

June 2012- Jimmy Buffett Concert at the Woodlands Pavilion. Seriously one of the best concerts I have ever been to. It was awesome spending the day with my Dad listening to the music I grew up jamming out to with him.

June 2012- NEW HOUSE! Left the apartment life for the house life and never looked back. Love.

October 2011- Myself, Katie, and Marina decided (literally an hour before) that we were taking a road trip to Austin. Hands down one of the most fun nights of the year. From meeting fellow Aggies in Longhorn Land, Marina becoming a bar tender, Katie getting me free pizza, and the delicious hot chocolate that may or may not ended up on the bed, it was a night to remember.

December 2011/January 2012-New Year's Eve Celebrations! What a fun group we had! One of the best NYE celebrations to date.

December 2011-This Christmas was wonderful. Being home for an entire week and spending time with family was perfect. I truly am blessed with an amazing family back home and also a wonderful man who loves my family just as much as I do.

August 2011- WOW, I can't believe this was already a year ago. This shot is about half the group from my birthday last year in front of the hummer limo my amazing, awesome, super friend Reeves rented for me. One of the best birthdays ever. I can't wait to try and top it this year!

I'm taking a paragraph from last years blog because it's just too good not to share again with the birthday only a week away...As a huge Jimmy Buffet stalker fan I live my life inspired by many of his songs. This one in particular I always end up listening to a lot when August rolls around each year. I think it's a great message and an awesome song. If you have never heard this song, I encourage you to take a few minutes and listen to it. It's called "Trip Around the Sun"-By Jimmy Buffett featuring Martina McBride. There is a particular line that says "Only time will tell if it was time well spent" and that is kind of how I want to live my life, no regrets, not worrying about everything, because eventually time will tell you if your decision was good or not. You can't predict the future so you might as well enjoy the ride.

As I close on Chapter 23, I am beyond excited what Chapter 24 is going to bring! I like even numbers so I've got a good feeling 24 is going to bring me good luck. Who knows what this year will throw my way, but with God's blessings and my friends, family, fur-babies, and amazing boyfriend by my side, I know it's going to be a good year.

Until next time dolls, have a great day.

Friday Favorites

It's Friday, which equals Friday Favorites time with Carlie at The Duplechin Daily

WHAT I'M LOVING!!!

Aggie Football Season Tickets are in!!!
Wednesday when Trevor went to check the mail he walked in and said we got a very expensive package today. Knowing we paid our first born quite a bit for these tickets I knew what it had to be. Did you know that the "average" sports fan will spend $90,000 on their favorite sports team throughout their entire lifetime? (That is insane, but totally believable.) This is our 3rd season as season ticket holders, and I cannot wait to get back to tailgating and the sea of maroon and white which is Kyle Field on gameday. Another exciting part of this upcoming season is our tailgate is being sponsored by Saint Arnold's Brewery ! If you are on campus and near the lot H, look for "Dat Crew Tailgate". Thanks and Gig'Em!

Flowers just because.
After making the 13 mile/38 minute drive home yesterday I walked in the house to find these sitting on the counter. I feel very blessed to have such a thoughtful boyfriend who doesn't need a reason to spoil me. He's amazing. :)

Sonic Fridays.
Yes, every Friday morning I treat myself to a Route 44 beverage from Sonic. It's delicious and it makes my Friday morning happy. You should try it sometime.

Upcoming Festivities
This up coming week marks my favorite week of the year. (Tied only with Christmas/New Years Week) Next week is not only Trevor and I's anniversary (5 years!) but it's also the day yours truly was born. With most of our Houston friends RSVPing "yes", combined with the 9 house guests Trevor and I will have in our house, plus few more additional "out of towners", it's going to be a blasty-blast and I CANNOT WAIT!

I guess I'm not your typical 23 about to be 24 year old. I actually LOVE birthdays! I love celebrating them! I don't understand why most people just don't get excited for their birthdays after college but most people don't. In any case, I am totally okay being the minority in this situation. My friend Ashley was telling me that she gets excited for my birthday because I get so excited! I have had several people tell me that can't wait for my party. That truly makes my heart happy. If people get excited enough to come hang out, have a great night out, and just have fun then I think my over excitement about my birthday is great. :) It never fails that my birthday celebrations end up being a great time and that is only because I am blessed to have a great group of friends and family that go along with my crazy birthday antics. So thanks y'all. :)

(Past Birthday Celebrations.)
2010 Birthday Celebrations (about half the group)
2010 Birthday Celebrations (all the girls)
2010 Birthday Celebrations-Dancing Fools
2011 Birthday Celebrations- About half the group in front of the Hummer Limo. (Thanks Reeves :)
2011 Birthday Celebrations-Dancing with my girls
2011 Birthday Celebrations-My lovely girls. :)

And last but not least, another fun weekend!
Tonight while the men do what they do best around this time of year (Fantasy Football) the girls are going to do what we do best, drink wine. :) Then tomorrow I have a hair appointment, followed by our dear friend Brandt's Birthday Celebration. It's going to be a great weekend with the people that substitute as our family most of the time.

Lastly, I just want share a little something. This morning when I was saying my morning prayer I got choked up...I just feel so blessed and lucky to have such an amazing life and incredible people in it. I am thankful for the health of my family and friends. I am thankful for the stand out man in my life that I get to call my boyfriend, and so much more... I know that the only reason my life is as good as it is, is because of GOD. Today I feel very blessed and I hope you all do to.

Have a great weekend dolls!

Check out the new catchy train song if you haven't yet. :)

Friday Favorites

It's time for another round of linking up with Carlie at The Duplechin Daily for Friday Favorites. :)

Who is excited for the weekend...THIS GIRL! Work has been shockingly slow this week, making the days crawl by. I enjoy being busy at work much more than slow because the end of the day shows up a lot quicker.
My BFF/Housewife/Soul-Sister is coming in town the weekend with her "main squeeze" and will be our first real guests at the house!  Also our good friend JC, (who has recently moved to North Dakota for work) will also be in town. :)
We have spent the past two evenings working from the moment we got home to get the house COMPLETELY organized, unpacked, and decorated. We have everyone room decorated except ...lol...our own room. We would rather have the rest of the house nice and pretty for guests. Plus I want new stuff for the master bedroom and home decor is pricey!!! There is something about having your first house guest and actually having a guest bedroom that makes you feel grown up. :)

Saturday we are all attending our friends Heather & Heather's "Mad Hatter" Bridal Shower.

Click here to find out the story on the invitations

The theme comes from the classic tale of "Alice in Wonderland". It is a cute and fun theme for a party. Everyone is supposed to wear hats, however, convincing Trevor to wear one has proved to be a difficult task, hah.

August is 1 of my favorite months of the year. (Tied with December) Not only is my birthday on the 28th but as of the 25th, Trevor and I will have been dating for 5 years. The honest truth is I couldn't be happier. I didn't think you could continue falling in love with someone year after year, but I stand corrected.
August also marks the start to the always busy fall season. How busy you ask? Well as of the weekend of August 18th, Trevor and I have something going on every weekend from that point until October 27th! (except one, we have one free weekend, ha). Between birthdays, wedding festivities, Aggie Football, and work, it's going to be a CRAZY couple on months. I wouldn't change it for the world. :)

So it begins, the end of summer to fall countdowns... I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and has some fun. After this long week, we all deserve it. Cheers dolls!

Days until our good friend Brandt's backyard bash birthday party-15
Days until Trevor and I's 5 year Anniversary-22
Days until my Birthday Party & Actual Birthday-22/25
Days until Labor Day get-a-way Trip-28
Days until the first FIGHTIN TEXAS AGGIE FOOTBALL GAME-36

Random Thoughts of a Houstonian.

Good Morning Blogging world. Sorry for the leave of absence. Since getting back from our fabulous river trip I have been busy, alas, neglecting the blog once again.
The 3rd Annual River Trip was amazing. We had the biggest group yet and stayed in the nicest place we have ever stayed in also. From Schlitterbaun rides that made us ride in circles for 30 minutes before getting on the ride (THE BEST CONVEYOR BELT EVER!), to Floating the river twice, rope swings & kayaks, to the always fun “Loaded Questions” game, it was a fabulous trip. Although I do not think that I will ever eat Cheese Puffs again or take Rachel Ray serious. ;-)
As of today, it has rained 12 straight days in Houston. T-W-E-L-V-E!!! This week has been particularity annoying because driving to work is a gorgeous clear sky and then around 3:30, right on cue, here comes the rain! Monday it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to get home. It was quite possibly the second worst drive home I have ever had since I moved to Houston 2 years ago. I do have to say though, people who don’t live in Houston complain about the traffic every time they drive through but honestly for a city of 4 million people it’s truly not that bad.
Since we moved and had to leave our old gym (L) and joined the 24 Hour Fitness by our house, they actually have Zumba classes that happen during the time we go to the gym. I really enjoy the classes because it’s just dancing for like an hour. I mean it’s not just step left, step right, kind of thing, it's a lot more intense so you’re getting a hearty workout. And I do understand that not everyone has good rhythm or can move as quickly as others but let me tell you…40 year old MEN have no business being in Zumba class. Now, you may say I am being mean and that everyone deserves a chance but allow me to explain.  You typically try and get to the class at least 10 minutes early so you can get a good spot and stretch. I arrive about 8 minutes before class and find a nice spot. As the class is starting this guy walks in…

Okay so that may not have been him exactly but he was tall, lanky, and Asian. He proceeded to step the wrong way and swing his tree branch arms around for the first song. Luckily the lady next to me noticed his sporadic dancing (if you can even call it that) and made some room for me to move over. About halfway through class, the dude had proceeded to move back a lot causing the girl next to me to be in a really tight spot. She, (very politely I might add) asked him to move forward just a bit. The guy proceeded to say “NO, no room”, and point awkwardly at the space in front of him. About 30 seconds later, he turns around and says (in a very Asian accent) “If you want more room you can go to the back.” DUDE, SERIOUSLY??? It took all my strength to not tell this Yao Ming wanna be to –BLEEP- OFF! The lady was pretty much in shock and said “No, I don’t want to go to the back I just want to see the instructor”, which of course, she couldn’t over the towering awkward Asian. Next time I plan to move myself if he is even in a 10 food vicinity of me. Some people have no respect.
In other news, Trevor is it Pittsburg this week for work. He left Sunday morning and will finally be home tomorrow morning.  And thank the LORD because this girl is not doing so well sleeping alone at the house. Yes I know I am a grown adult and yes I lived in my own apartment for a year and a half but now I live in a big house. And you know what makes you scared when you live in a big house? When your dogs freak out and start barking at 12:45 in the morning. Let me lay out the scenario for you…I had already stayed up later than I usually do reading because I was having trouble falling asleep. Did I mention that the book I was reading was about a man’s wife coming up missing? Yeah smart one Danni…. Anyways, so I finally put the book down and toss and turn for the next hour and a half (never actually going to sleep), when I wake up again to Shep barking very loudly and Chanel jumping off the bed and barking also. My heart pretty much stopped and my mind created the worst scenarios that could rival any modern day horror movie writer. For example, the dude from “The Strangers” that breathes really loud has just landed on your last step and is making his way to the bedroom to chop me up into a Danni salad…

Notice the creepy masked figure in the back, that's the guy I was thinking of.

Yes, really those are the things that were going through my mind. As I sit in my bed clutching my shot gun wondering if I should go downstairs when I realize that both of the dogs have resumed their position sleeping on either side of my legs. I put the gun down and try again to find my dear friend sleep. I believe it was around 2:38 that I finally fell asleep. Which means 3 hours later my alarm was going off, which ultimately means Danni, the “I don’t drink coffee” chick is about to become the “I need a large java chip Frappuccino lite STAT!” girl because I am STRUGGLING this morning. And to top it off I have a proposal going out today along with production of another…Please LORD let this day fly by.

With that, I am off to Starbucks to try and make myself not look like a blonde zombie today. I hope that y’alls day is starting off better than mine.
Happy Thursday dolls.

Tuesday Favorites?

Welcome back to another addition of Friday Tuesday Favorites. Yes I am fully aware that today is Tuesday but it all ways but the actual day, today is my Friday. With the 4th of July tomorrow (no work) and the 3rd Annual River Trip starting on Thursday, I am cruising on in to a 5 day weekend. :)

What I am loving:

Getting to go to my first professional soccer game in the Houston Dynamo's new stadium tonight with our couple BBFs. SCORE!

Getting to see my family tomorrow. My lovely/amazing/awesome grandparents are going to watch Chanel and Shep this weekend during our get-a-way to the Hill Country. We're also getting a new dryer and a lawnmower that isn't from the Great Depression...like this one that we have had to use the past few weeks. LOL.
.

3rd Annual River Trip!!! Less than 48 hours away!
Not only to I get to be here for 3 full days.....
